Spurgeon is such a great gift to the Body of Christ, for his preaching of Jesus Christ, it is a shame that many pastors find his tone of preaching, irrelevant. I too would wonder what it would be like if Spurgeon were able to write a blog today! A couple of years back I wrote a little-known book called "Bibles, Baptists, and Britannia" (yes, that is a shameless plug) in which I quoted Spurgeon extensively. Since that time, I have been called on to preach on occasion, and this particular sermon has been my mantra. I can't improve on the simple, and life-giving Word of God. Is it any wonder they call Spurgeon the ‘Prince of Preachers’?
