Jesse-

Thanks for the practical article.

I was reminded again how important the Word of God is in our evangelism!

Your first suggestion about handing out New Testaments was exactly how I came to know Christ. Some men from the Gideon's Bible Society were handing out free Bibles to some kids at a school bus stop. I took one and began to read- it was the first step that eventually led me to repentance and faith in Christ.

The Word of God is sufficient and powerful. It is the greatest tool we have. How will they hear unless somebody tells them?

Jesse, has Phil Johnson had a good read of the two current blog posts you wrote?

Ask him what Spurgeon used to get his training Preachers to do before they ever got into a pulpit. He had them street preach.

Mark,

Another resource is tms.edu, then select alumni, and alumni map.

While there are certainly a few grads out there we wouldn't vouch for, it is as good a guide as any.

9 marks aslo has a similiar thing on their webpage.

Thanks,

Mark, You can visit the IFCA web site. They list all IFCA affiliated churches. Generally speaking these are biblically sound and expository in their approach to bible teaching.

I apologize in advance for this very off-topic question but try as I might I couldn't find an appropriate e-mail link in order to send this in. I have a very dear old friend who lives in the San Jose area of California. This person is not saved but of the last couple of weeks that we've reconnected (by email-we live on opposite coasts) I've shared about God and this friend has started visiting churches to find out more. Can anyone suggest a solid church in that area which I can refer my friend to visit?
