Interesting topic considering considering the current presidential race. How should this affect my view of Sarah Palin?

God's design for women is beautiful and we know the best thing for their souls. If women today embraced God's teaching in this way it would change the world and some of us are.

Dear Hearers & Doers of the Word of God,

Thank you. It is profitable to have this brief but Scripturally founded text put before us. We need consistantly to be reminded that God is sovereign, and He sets in motion His design for everything to be done decently and in order.

Describing the equal before God but different roles, aspects of men and women, is much needed for us in the body of Christ.

It seems that pride and easy offense, and the culture, will often be something to overcome in regard to this topic.

Grace and peace to you all as we live godly in Christ the Lord.

Stan,

This is a great post & you've picked an outstanding book to read. I think Köstenberger and Schreiner have produced the best work yet on the subject.

Excellent post.

I recently started reading Women in the Church: An Analysis and Application of 1 Timothy 2:9-15 edited by Andreas J. Köstenberger and Thomas R. Schreiner. I'm a little over a third of the way through and it is looking excellent. It anyone is looking to study this issue this book seems to be a good one. It's a little technical at times, at least for me. It is rich.
