With very few exceptions, greed, ambition, and self-worth is the order of the day on "so-called" Christian television in American. The main thrust is what God can do for you in the temporal world. Somehow salvation with the promise of eternal life is not enough. Jesus is not Lord; He is simply a means to an end: the almighty dollar. What these people have done to manipulate people can only be called devilish. I can only conclude that these "so-called" church leaders don't believe that there is a God in Heaven to whom they will give an account.

One more thing. Neither the Republican nor the Democratic Party is a Christian party. It seems that many people think the Republican Party is another name for Christian party. From what I've seen over the years, nothing could be further from the truth. There are Christians and non-Christians in both parties. Unfortunately, America (in Washington) has become a house divided against itself: Republican against Democrat. Jesus said a house in this condition will not stand.

It's time to step back from party affiliations (and swallowing its kool-aid) and choose the best candidate to be president of the U.S. Most of the time, we are choosing the lesser of two people because neither has a genuine relationship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. And a candidate, or a party, mentioning the name of Jesus does not make them the genuine article.

Thanks so much for this review. I never heard of this book until now. I don't have a lot of time for reading books, but this one seems important enough for me to buy, and perhaps give away as well. Thanks again.
