Steve served the Word to the conference with conviction and power. What a wonder filled and energizing preached Word. The Holy Spirit empowered work provided the proper exegesis and presentation.

Thank you Lord for this great Slave!
Thanks Steve for your hard work!

Having attended this conference and this message still ringing in my ears (and heart), let me add another statement Dr. Lawson said: "If a brain surgeon was to do surgery on your brain, you wouldn't want him to use a butter knife?" That in comparison to the pop-psychology we hear so much in the pulpits today. "So men put away the plastic utensils and unsheath the double-edged sword." Amen to that!

WOW! What an amazing and timely message on the awesome power and the infallible effectiveness of God's Word. I would love to place Steve's message in the hands of every seeker friendly, purpose driven and emerging church pastor in the world. May our Lord and Master continue to be glorified through Steve Lawson, His faithful and gifted slave.

I wasn't able to make it to the conf. so thank you for blogging it. I was at Lawson's church for years and now I am a pastor of my own flock. I still listen to him and soak up as much as I can. He is a real treat for all who are able listen to him!

Calvin also said that we must preach the whole Word. It isnt as if God had let something slip that would be harmful to us if we preached the controversial hard sections also. Most evangelicals today avoid the hard doctrines thinking it would be harmful if they were exegeted. We act as a censor then of God's Word!!

"Calvin had no weapon but the Bible."

"Liberal critics of the Bible want to sit in judgment of the Bible, but no one can sit in judgment of the Bible. The Word of God uncovers everything, including the secret thoughts of the unbeliever."

Dr. Steve Lawson is one of the true worshipers and servants of Christ.

This is excellent. The truth to the believer is to be rejoiced in, for love rejoices in the truth.

"Let us believe that not only every book of the Bible, but every chapter,--and not only every chapter, but every verse,--and not only every verse, but every word, was originally given by inspiration of God." -JC Ryle
