Shepherds' Conference 2008Well, the Shepherds’ Conference starts today!

We will be reporting on the general sessions throughout the week, so be sure to check in periodically here at Pulpit.

For those of you who were not able to attend, please take advantage of the live stream of the conference via the Internet.  You can view every general session with our keynote speakers, as well as select sessions from various seminar speakers from your own home or office.

The live stream (which is free of charge) is available on the Shepherds’ Conference website:

        http://www.shepherdsconference.org/livestream

Once at the live stream page, you will need to login using your Shepherds’ Fellowship account information or create a new account if you are not yet a member.  After you login, you will be able to view the conference schedule, stream options, as well as other important viewing information.

Our first session to appear on the live stream will be today at 10:00 a.m. PDT, with John MacArthur speaking.

I am envious that several friends of mine are attending the conference. Not only will they have good fellowship, teaching, and amenities (books)….
They are enjoying 70 degree weather, while I am freezing with a windchill in the 20s here in Nebraska. Oh well, at least I could stream the conference!

    Pastor Steve,

I’m freezing here with ya brotha! Hey, maybe we can return next year. 2007 was a blast.

Does anyone know if anybody’s live blogging the conference. Challies usually does it, but I don’t see it on his page today.

    Mike,

We will be live-blogging all of the general sessions here on Pulpit. Dr. Macarthur is preaching his first session right now and the post from this session should be up soon after he finishes.

I just wanted to let someone know I am having extreme technical difficulties watching or hearing the live stream. I get maybe 5 seconds of feed and then about one minute interruptions. Very frustrating!
Is anybody else having trouble? I am using Verizon DSL.
    Thanks

    Victoria,
    Try switching to audio only.

Great look at the Acts passage in comparing it to the market driven approach. It looks like some shots were taken at certain pastors that use “rough” language to jell with their crowd. I am thinking it was adressed to a certain pastor that is located north of there. What do you think?

Any info on the list of free books that are being given away?

    Victoria Lynch,

I am having the same exact problems. No matter what I do to solve the problem, I cannot.

I’ve switched between audio/video and audio only.
I’ve switched between low quality and medium quality and high quality.
I’ve downloaded the most recent Flash 9 player (already had it, but got some update)

I get 5-20 seconds of feed and then it shows the buffering icon spinning. but it never resumes.

Granted, I am on a satellite feed here in the sticks, but if I can get some feed, I’m wondering why I can resume or have a steady feed.

Oh well at least Nathan is doing his bit, it is a pity that some of us are unable to use audio, esecially for those suffering with consentration and other incapacities. Yet, we have so much to thank the LORD for and we pray that the brethren assembled for Exhortation and Edification by Exposition will take courage and preach with conviction in their personal ministries across the Globe.

    Sola Deo Gloria.
