I find that if I keep praying, and seeking Him, and read His Word, and stay close to His people, then I have a fighting chance. It’s a faith fight. It can be painful, and hard as we walk through this dark and sinful world, but Jesus says that He is the light, and all who follow Him, “shall not walk in dakness, but shall have the light of life”.

But every time I stumble, or pride grips me, I have a Father who disciplines, and if I cry out to His throne for mercy and grace, then He has promised to help.

I have found that I am growing in His grace and knowledge, and yet i get off track, and the idols in my heart need to be identified and crushed in His grace, and by His power, for I am incapable to overcome in my own strength.
And the worse possibility, would be if I did overcome, and started to live a self-righteous life. But at the same time, I must not become discouraged when I fall, but fall upon His grace and love, and seek the Cross of forgiveness for strength by faith in His promises.
