Thank you. Good timing for me when I have been trying to create change in a local church. Though my care is genuine (2 Cor. 11:28) my impatience is inappropriate. I need to wait on the Lord who works all things together for good.

When I was 39 God graciously blessed my life with Parkinson's Disease. I am now 49.

I had written a Bible Study on God's Sovereignty.

But knowing God is sovereign wasn't what comforted me and brought me contentment.... Knowing that He is loving and sovereign... now there is the key!

Romans 8:29 God is using this disease to conform me to the image of Christ! Now if that's my goal then I can see His love.

And what is it about Jesus that God is wanting to conform us to? One thing - one thing that is at the core of it all - FAITH!

Contentment demands faith. Faith is the absense of doubt! This disease is His expression of love to me because daily He uses it to keep my eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of my FAITH!!

Just strolling by!

Tami

Psalm 108: 3 I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.

4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
       your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
       and let your glory be over all the earth.

Thanks for this timely reminder. It is proof of God's great orchestration in that this series is started now; soon after I realized that the current 'orchestra' has been arranged different to what I was expecting. My prayer is that many more will be 'content to do without and wait on the Lord’s timing.' May God be praised!

This is incredible encouragement!

Would this be considered one of the reasons for "peace that passes all understanding"? Or is that "peace" meant soley in the context of salvation in Jesus Christ?
