Jason,

Go back to the main page and scroll down and you'll find the remaining articles. You may have to even go back another page to find the first two articles.

Nathan,

Thanks for these articles. I'm a bit surprized that they have not generated more comments.

You bring up a very good point today which I have mulled over in my own mind many times. The post-apostolic church fathers would certainly (and did) pounce on anyone who tried to pass off false information as "gospel truth." After all, many of these men were disciples of the Apostles, or perhaps second generation disciples.

I have heard that you are working on a book or dissertation about the post-apostolic fathers. Is this correct? What is the focus of your work?

Can I also suggest another post topic related to the four Gospels as a harmonic witness? I'm presently preaching through the Gospel of Luke. Perhaps you or John could address how best to approach parallel passages which often contain different (not contradictory) facts about the same event. I often note additional facts presented by one of the other Gospel writers in my messages from Luke. But the challenge is not to obscure Luke's particular purpose for including the facts he did regarding that event.

How does John deal with this in his messages from Luke? Is there a book or seminar in the Shepherd's Conference archives addressing this?

Again, thanks for this series. It's been encouraging. As a side note, as I have progressed into the Gospel of Luke in my preaching, the more convinced I have become of the absolute reliability of the Gospels. I am convinced that preaching through a Gospel is life-changing not only for the church, but also for the preacher.

Blessings,
Steve Lamm
