Phil everything you write is good!!I have told people all over the states about that pulpit I remember it from my time at Grace in the middle 80’s keep writing my beloved brother!!!

It is not an historic pulpit – at least not yet – perhaps in another 2 or 3 generations – you may be able to say that it is historic (provided, of course, it holds its course. There are many others who have pastored in one place longer than MacArthur.

I do like the hydraulic idea though!

I always thought the music stand level was better, but I can see how the horizontal surface would offer advantages of it’s own. Thanks for a unique hands-on post!

I have to totally agree Phil. It can be really frustrating when the pulpit is either too small, or has too steep a gradient. A different, but interesting post.
