Pulpit Picks
May 12th, 2007
(By Nathan Williams)
We begin this week’s Pulpit Picks with the beginning of a series that looks to be very helpful regarding discernment on gray issues.
We haven’t been the only ones this week discussing the state of ETS.
Looks like those at Willow Creek are wanting more of the deep truths of God.
The guys at Triablogue give us their thoughts on the state of modern evangelicalism.
Here is some helpful information on the theology of T.D. Jakes.
In case you missed it, here are some highlights from Tim Challies recent seminar on blogging.
Thabiti Anyabwile expresses his thankfulness for the ministry of John Piper.
Finally, for you enjoyment . . .
So some at Willow Creek are wanting more of the deep truths of God.
But according to the link, here is what they’re going to get: “Rather than expecting to be spiritually fed each week with a 35-40 minute sermon on Sundays, congregants will start learning how to take responsibility for their own feeding. Everything else – the worship services and the classes at Willow Creek – will just be ‘whip cream’ on top.”
Tragic.
Nathan,
Why not speak the truth about Willowcreek instead of just stating their position that they want deeper truths? Do you know what Hybels is saying in that letter? He’s saying that Willowcreek is an agent for spreading Marxism worldwide.
thanks for the links, nathan.
