May God empower us to live according to His will. As a father I constantly find myself with the man in the crowd saying, “'I do believe; help me in my unbelief”. God uses heroes of the faith, like Jochebed, to help in my unbelief.
The glory is only to my God and Savior.

What a tremendous display of providence! Our culture teaches us to strive for success, by the world's standard of the word. Because of that, we seem to have lost sight of the fact that God is in control. I realize that it is thought naive to 'let go and let God', but we have reached the point that we are unwilling to do either. We want to be in control, and will do everything within our power to maintain that control, regardless of the consequences. Jochebed could have tried to manipulate the situation, and maintain control herself, which would have resulted in the death of her son. Instead, she entrusted her son to the providential care of God, and the result was more than she could ever have dreamed!
Could Christian parents not learn a wonderful truth here? Trusting God with the well-fare of our children will result in far greater rewards than the petty things we usually teach them to strive for. Why not entrust them to God from the outset, and allow Him to lead them into a life filled with meaningfulness and blessing!
