Excellent reminders!. Thank you Nate.

Another thing to remember, thanks to Google, thoughts we express today will be available for people to read 10-15 years from now. If you're going to say it, make sure it's not something you'll regret down the road when your kids or students Google you.

Words to consider carefully and take to heart. Pride is a tricky thing, something I have to confess constantly. This is a good blog, thank you very much.

This has been excellent! Thank you for the teaching on this topic! It is much needed! I for one have to always be checking my motives and examining my heart as I blog...These 2 post have encouraged me greatly and help give me Biblical direction and accountability.

I have linked to both of these excellent posts!

Thank you!

Thanks for including the non-anonymous admonition. I agree this could be a worthy publication and/or Shepherds Conference seminar topic.

Can't wait to see the exciting conclusion tomorrow.

Mrs. Burrows,

You wrote: God's perspective from the Bible is surely best

You are absolutely right. The "code" I linked to is not Christian. The ideas it contains may have some practical value; but in attempting to corral unbelievers, it is devoid of the Spirit's power.

As believers, in whom the Spirit dwells, we don't need a secular "code" to define our ethical behavior in any context (online or offline). We already have the perfect standard (in Scripture) to which we are accountable.

Thanks for the good reminder.

The code certainly has merit(as do other blogging 101 type lists), Nathan, but God's perspective from the Bible is surely best for this gal, me thinks.

Have a very lovely day! :-)

Thank you all for the kind comments.

Via Challies, I just learned about a proposed blogger's code of conduct -- something I did not know about when I started this series. The proposed code contains some good ideas, and it's a lot shorter than my posts (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

For those interested, it's worth a visit.
