The greatest benefit was the flow chart towards living a life that glorifies and enjoys God forever.
I study the Bible and learn about who God is, what He has done and why; then who I am, what I have done, and what is my duty towards Him (cognition).
The more I read, fellowship, and worship the embracing of that information as true grows deeper and deeper (conviction).
Here's where I knew I was missing something. The affection - an overflowing of love for God that transforms a life from the common to the uncommon.
I "must" work hard to affect my affections toward God if I truly love Him.

Dr. MacArthur has taught me what it means to love the truth and to let my theology emerge from the Scriptures through expository preaching.

This lecture is an encouragement to all men in ministry. Real men are becoming an endangered species and this sermon is a summons to avoid such. Thank you, Dr.

It would take "nerves of steel" to act like men and leave all for Christ...family, home, friends, jobs, comfort, etc and that is exactly what the persecuted church around the world is doing for Christ. He has called us to be separated from this world unto Him even while we live in the world. Thankfully, Christ gives this courage and a love for Him to all His children...men and women adults and children...and all are called to act upon this strength which He gives us so freely...and all for His glory!
