One of my laments as a parent is that I didn't take the time to memorize the Book of Proverbs with my kids, as they got into high school. We could have done that as a family, at dinner devotions. Only later I realized Proverbs is meant to be so memorized by the young, being a specific word for undergirding their lives with wisdom, discernment, self-control, fear of God, etc.
