Pulpit Picks

Pulpit Picks(By Nathan Williams)

In this edition of Pulpit Picks we would like to again highlight the Resolved Conference that took place last weekend in Long Beach. In case you weren’t able to be at the conference, the audio for the entire conference is being made available here. There you will also find picture galleries and a link to Tim Challies’ website where he live-blogged every session.

There has been much reaction to Resolved around the internet and we’ve decided to start this week by highlighting some of what people are saying about the conference.

High School student Evan Winslow says Resolved was the highlight of his year so far.

This college student said the conference exceeded his expectations.

Master’s Seminary professor Andy Snider said the conference reminded him that the fuel for the Christian life is the gospel.

Justin attends UCLA and wrote down some of his resolutions from Resolved here.

Now on to a few other links from this week…

Mark Dever writes on an unavoidable optimism.

Here is John Frame’s review of N.T. Wright’s latest book. (HT: Evan May)

The Irish Calvinist reminds us to be ever impressed with the cross.

Here is an interesting article on legalism in accountability groups.

Just thought some of you might be interested in this movie review of Amazing Grace.

And Al Mohler finally comments on the Anna Nicole Smith story.

Pastor Mark Dever is an exceptional teacher of the truth.
I hope to one day visit his congregation.

    Mr. Williams,

It is quite an honor to be featured on your blog, however I would just like to clear up that I am currently a Freshman at Stanford University. The profile on my blog was a little dated. Sorry about that!
